Hi, I’m Thamiya.

I’m a science communicator and structural biologist based in Seattle. For the past decade, I've worked at the intersection of research and storytelling — turning complex ideas in biochemistry, cell biology, and cancer research into narratives that educate and inspire. Currently, I write for the Fred Hutch Science Spotlight and conduct postdoctoral research on immune cell signaling in the Campbell Laboratory.

My background spans the full communication toolkit: science writing, scientific illustration and graphic design in Adobe Creative Suite and Blender, podcast production, social media strategy, and web publishing. I believe that communicating science well isn't separate from doing science — it's essential to it.
